Who exactly is it that watches shows like “Rules of Engagement?”
I ask the previous question about “Rules” and not some worse abomination like “American Dad” because nobody actually watches that trash.
Look, will one of you Canadian fuckers just post some Column of Heaven footage from Not Dead Yet already?
David Cross is annoying as shit.
I’ve only ever enjoyed him in Eternal Sunshine. Tobias Funke had some great scenes, but I attribute that to writing. Beyond that, stop playing the same self-absorbed, delusional, annoying character in every role.
Evey just described last December as “[her] fourth winter.”
I attribute this to her mother’s penchant for fantasy novels.
Today my soon-to-be ex-wife’s offer on a house was accepted.
Now, after six months of living together while “separated” we’ll actually be taking that next inevitable step.
It’s a weird feeling. I’ve known this was coming since she told me she wanted to divorce (back in April,) but I’m also aware of how surreal and bizarre actually dividing our lives back into independent entities will be. And I’m sure, on many levels, sad.
I genuinely wish her the best, and I hope her life is a happy and fulfilled one… but it occurred to me tonight that I just don’t want it to be HAPPIER than when things were good in our lives. Of course I recognize how juvenile and petty that is, but I’ll acknowledge the feeling exists at least.
In a few hours she’s leaving town for the weekend to go to some Halloween gala in Detroit, I’ll be home with the kids all week. For those of you attending Not Dead Yet, you have my envy. Many of you who aren’t going probably do too…
Late night drive with Wolf Eyes, Prurient, Nick Cave, Portal, and Hooded Menace… supposedly to clear my head.
No Pig Heart Transplant though, as that stuff started making me feel too anxious Friday night.
Headphones, hoodie, and flannel on. Walking through Norfolk listening to Akitsa, Pig Heart Transplant, and Vastum. Feeling pretty alright.
